Koren Shadmi was born in Israel, where he has worked since his early teens as an illustrator and cartoonist for various magazines. He then proceeded to serve as a graphic designer and illustrator in the Israel Defense Forces. Upon completion of his service Shadmi relocated to New York to study in the School of Visual Arts, where he acquired his bachelor’s degree.
